The Russian facility was opened in 2006, thanks to the rapid completion of both building and equipment. The site at Zavolzhie, in the Nizhniy Novgorod region, houses the world's most modern production line for reinforced polyester nonwovens.
Various expansion projects are planned in the short term, to allow Freudenberg Politex to consolidate its leadership in an important market, where the Group was already the leading player before opening the facility.
